Exploring Math Week

In December, the school hosted our signature annual event – the Week of Mathematics. Every day of that week was dedicated to a mathematical “holiday”: a Day of Logic, a Day of Geometry, a Day of Puzzles, and a Day of Mathematical Contests. Our students prepared and presented over 100 amazing projects in which they discussed the history of mathematics, its wonderful discoveries, and the role of mathematics in the modern world. The middle school students worked on mini research projects and created their own math problem collections for the younger students. Our 5th and 6th-graders prepared and held mathematical contests in 3rd and 4th grades. Every grade level held a 3D math model competition. Students had composed poems about mathematics and designed miniature math books for younger students.

Congratulations to all Math Week participants!
